Alien Skin Sparks Fresh Outrage, Claims He’s “Bigger Than Basoga and Kyabazinga”
Controversial Ugandan musician Alien Skin has once again stirred public debate after refusing to retract his earlier remarks about the Basoga community, doubling down on statements that many have already described as offensive.
Speaking during an interview on Sanyuka TV, the Fangone Forest boss made it clear that he has no intention of apologizing or softening his stance. Instead, he challenged critics from Busoga to stop attacking him, insisting that his level of fame and influence has grown far beyond ordinary comparison. In a bold and provocative claim, Alien Skin declared that he is “bigger than the whole Basoga tribe,” even going as far as placing himself above their revered cultural leader, the Kyabazinga.
According to the singer, his current status in Uganda’s entertainment scene has elevated him to what he described as a “presidential level.” From his perspective, this places him in a completely different league—one that, he believes, cannot be measured against tribes or cultural institutions.
His remarks did not stop there. Alien Skin suggested that rather than being criticized, he should be recognized as a leader because of his widespread popularity and influence across the country. The comments reflect a defiant tone that signals he is not backing down, despite months of backlash from Basoga cultural supporters and critics on social media.
This latest development follows an earlier fallout between the artist and the Basoga community, during which he vowed never to return to Busoga after a heated exchange that played out both online and in the media. That incident had already drawn widespread criticism, with many calling for accountability and respect toward cultural institutions.
In the same interview, Alien Skin hinted that he had temporarily set aside the issue to deal with his recent legal troubles involving UPDF soldiers. However, he made it clear that the conflict is far from over. If provoked again, he warned, he is ready to respond.
His renewed statements have since reignited outrage online, with many Ugandans expressing concern over what they see as disrespect toward one of the country’s most respected cultural communities. As reactions continue to pour in, the controversy shows no signs of fading anytime soon.
